What is a raw food diet?
Raw food diets can vary, but typically consist of uncooked and unprocessed foods like fresh produce, nuts, and seeds. Some followers of the diet or lifestyle also include fish, dairy, and sprouted grains, but most times raw dishes are plant-based. These foods can be heated up to 118 degrees Fahrenheit to still qualify as raw. At the Fuel, our complete menu offering is 90% raw, 90% organic, gluten free, dairy free, and oil free!
What are the benefits of a raw food diet?
When some foods are cooked, enzymes can change, antioxidants and vitamins can be lost, and depending on the degree of heat, carcinogens can be added. Raw food diets can help to reduce your body’s acidity, improve your immune system, and help your body "run" more optimally. Many who make the switch to a raw food diet experience more energy, regulated bowel movements, brighter skin, weight loss, and curbed processed sugar cravings! It's completely safe to follow a raw diet and proven to provide mental benefits as well.
